King Charles' Subtle Dig at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in Coronation Program
Charles' pain as his most recent family photograph was taken for his 70th birthday, five years ago, signifying Harry and Meghan's cruelty
It appears that King Charles is enacting a bit of sweet and subtle revenge against Prince Harry and Meghan Markle via his Coronation Program. The King has included what should be a banal “family” picture, but in fact sends a strong message not only to the Sussexes but the rest of the world.
The picture is simple, and ironically with a bench as the focus. It shows himself, Queen Camilla, the Wales and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, but notably not Archie or Lilibet. Why? Well, it was taken almost five years ago. That’s right, FIVE YEARS AGO.
Prince Louis was just a little baby, Archie had yet to be conceived and Megxit was just a masterplan brewing in Meghan’s mind as Hollywood stars danced behind her eyes.
While some were upset that Harry and Meghan would even be included in the Program, given all they’ve done in the last five years, all I felt for Charles and the rest of the royal family was pity.
Since that picture was taken for Charles’ 70th birthday, Harry and Meghan have had two children, left the royal family, did a damaging interview with Oprah Winfrey, wrote a tell-all book, filmed a reality tv series trying to tear down the monarchy and so much more.
But most critically, Harry and Meghan have made it their objective to keep their children as far away from Charles and the Wales’ as possible, denying their children, Charles and their royal relatives an opportunity to develop a relationship. There’s no reason for this, as Charles appears to be nothing but a loving, compassionate and gentle grandfather, given his close bond with the Wales children, especially Louis.
But the Sussexes have put Hollywood fame above family, and nothing makes that more evident than this picture. No doubt, he would have commissioned a new picture for the Coronation, but that would require Harry and Meghan to have a heart and it’s unclear if they really have one.

I didin't think of this photo this way ...interesting conculsion Brittany .
Great interpretation of the photo, I personally didn’t think they should’ve been included in the coronation program at all. There is so much drama surrounding the upcoming coronation, and there are many respectable royal insiders who believe King Charles III is making lots of bad decisions. I personally am worried about the future of the Royal Family and the Monarchy as a whole.
