No Tiara for Kate?😱 Latest News on King Charles' Coronation
Prince George's coronation role announced, and King Charles' official coronation invitation revealed
Say it isn’t so, but will Catherine, The Princess of Wales, not wear a tiara at the Coronation of her father-in-law King Charles?
That could be the case, as there are growing reports that attendees, specifically Members of Parliament, have been told to wear formal day dress, which would be similar to what people wear to Buckingham Palace Garden Parties or to more formal royal engagements. For women, this would typically include a dress or coat dress to the knees and a hat or fascinator. Meanwhile, the men wear a morning coat with either black or grey tailcoat.
If that extends to the royal ladies, especially Catherine, that will be a very disappointing coronation indeed.
However, it does address one key aspect: Meghan Markle. If she attends, a good portion of the crowd would be upset if she got to wear a tiara again, while another, albeit much smaller portion, would be disappointed if she didn’t. If the option isn’t even in the books for Meghan to begin with, that may head off some of the trouble.
But when it comes to Catherine, there should be no question. Put her in a tiara.
As the Princess of Wales, she must take center right stage with her husband at this important event. Relegating her to the dress code of every other lady in attendance is an image that Charles doesn’t need. As a King, though his popularity has risen, his son and daughter-in-law are the future and the most popular members of the family. Don’t make the need to promote himself and Queen Camilla take away from the hugely important and influential role William and Catherine should play.
Give Catherine an opportunity to shine, and give us royal watchers a tiara event for the ages.

Prince William has officially appointed former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern as a trustee to the Earthshot Prize. Ardern dramatically resigned in January from her political role, after claiming she didn’t have enough in the tank to seek reelection. Prince Harry apparently about to sign a deal to become a brand ambassador for the House of Dior. As it is a French brand, it would be rather unheard of for a royal to sign such a deal. Generally, royal families stick with fashion houses within their own country. Meghan Markle, an ardent fan of Dior, would likely be delighted with the news. However, the brand already has two royals as brand ambassadors, though ones without a title, and that’s Pierre Casiraghi (grandson of Grace Kelly and son of Princess Caroline) and Beatrice Borromeo (descended of one of Italy’s most noble households). The couple recently attended the Dior show in India.

Dior has Johnny Depp--why would they need Harold?
I for one will be extremely sad and disappointed if the lovely Princess of Wales doesn’t wear a tiara. I LOVE tiara’s. I was looking forward to seeing Catherine’s new gown, and which tiara she would have chosen. Or perhaps she may have gotten a new tiara for this very special occasion. I can’t believe how fast time is flying, the coronation will be here before we know it.
Harry appears as raggedy as his wife normally does. Dior would have better luck plucking some hot guy off the street who can wear the clothes well, rather than a dopey drugged up balding duke with a little ginger frizz sticking up everywhere. One thing is for certain, the sexy Prince of Wales got all the looks, “Harold” has never, nor will ever hold the sex appeal that Prince William has.
